Tragedy has, again, struck the people of Southern Kaduna, following the gruesome killing of Etum Numana II, Dr. Gambo Makama, in Numana Chiefdom in Southern Kaduna area of Kaduna state.
The unfortunate incidents, which occurred in the night of January, 2018, has thrown the entire chiefdom into another round of mourning as Etum Numana II was said to have been killed alongside his wife.
Precisely, the fresh attack on the village happened on January 1, 2018, at about 12:07am of Monday morning.
When contacted, the information officer of Sanga LGA, Mr. John Bawa, who confirmed the news, told journalists that, “The Etum Numana, Dr. Gambo Makama, alongside his second wife were both gruesomely murdered in an attack on his village, Tsauni Gulere, Sanga LGA of Kaduna State, by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
“The suspected Fulani herdsmen invaded the community this morning, killing our Chief, his wife and burning down his house at the village,” he lamented.
This fresh attack is coming after two communities in Jema’a LGA were also attacked, killing no fewer than 11 people.
Efforts to confirm from the Kaduna State Police Command PPRO, ASP Aliyu Mukhtar, proved abortive as calls put across to him were not returned, even as SMS sent to his line was also not replied up till the time of filing this report.
